It is either Border Privet or Chinese Privet. Yes, it can bonsai.

When you post pictures, please insert them under your text. it takes time to mature, for sure with a bit of research and lots of patient it will be a nice bonsai in the future.

Maybe you can post clear pictures of foliage, buds, flowers and bark.

Identification based on the current pictures would be guesstimates at best.

Not living in the americas I am not going to venture a guess.

I'm going to say that this is not a privet. Attached are photos of the foliage of one of my privets. established leaves and one of the new shoots.
