名媛直播

Hello, new here.
I'm curious to know what type of species my bonsai is, I've had one tree before and was never sure of the species of that one either but, anyway!...
I've attached two photos, hopefully they're good enough quality on here. Please could someone give me some idea of the species?

I'd call that a funsai, not a bonsai.

If you want to get it healthy, get it out of that coconut (?) and plant it in a proper pot. I can't see in what type of soil it is, so can't advise you there.

Ah okay. It was a gift and just assumed the moss ball technique was just a different way of housing a bonsai.

A tree I had before this one was potted and had a similar body/leaves so may be the same if not similar type.
Why do you advise taking it out of the moss? Surely it can remain healthy as it is, just not grow much more I would have thought?

Sorry, I don't know. I only have knowledge about bonsai.

To identify the plant I'd need a better picture. I'd need to be able to see the leave shape and the leaf edges.

It's a shame I came on here looking for help, and the only person to respond does so in a somewhat pretentious way.
A Japanese style, Kokedama is a branch off from traditional 名媛直播. To not at all consider the plant I have as being 名媛直播 is pretty pedantic to be honest.
Granted, Kokedama isn't too labour intensive and is more of an indoor plant thing but, I suppose you're just coming across kind of elitist with your 'advice'.

I'm sorry MIcky.. but I read Auk's responses very differently. Auk offered help if you showed leaf shape and edges. It didn't come off as "elitist".
When and if, you delve into 名媛直播 deeper, you'll understand the difference and importance of proper identification of a 名媛直播. It's ok to have a small tree that may one day be a 名媛直播 (no matter what anyone says or thinks) but to call this a 名媛直播,isn't doing justice to the effort it takes to create a true 名媛直播. All of this is of course, just my opinion.
My advice would be to get the tree out of the coconut and into a pot. In doing so... take a good look at the roots, don't trim anything, don't feed it for a few weeks and see if the tree shows signs of health. If it dies... it'll be ok, you can start again with more knowledge than you had before this tree. And people on here will help you.
