Also I tried to upload a picture but it says the file size is too big . I'm doing this from my phone so if anybody knows what I can do I can upload pictures to help with advice .

You tried to help... and you gave me the chance to play the forum bully again
Some other points:
It's a juniper. You could have added it belongs outside (a 'sunny spot' could be indoors, but the plant doesn't belong there)
You couldn't know it as you didn't see the picture yet, but your method of checking the soil probably won't work as it's got rocks glued to it.
Also... it is not really a nice tree. It's a young cutting.
I know I'm not offending Minnesotabonsai with that, as he already knows.
Also, he did the right thing by removing the "rocks and junk"
