I have been doing research on the Ficus and have a general understanding of how to maintain the tree but I was hoping to get some general ideas from the community about what I should work on first with the tree. I would love to hear your thoughts/opinions/concerns,
thanks!

Keep it alive and focus on that only the coming period.
What you should work on first is: patience.

A very common question, where 'etc' usually means: repotting, fertilizing and wiring.pkordiasz wrote: whether or not it needs pruning, etc.
First learn when to prune, how to prune and most importantly: WHY to prune.
Your plant isn't ready to be turned into a bonsai. Let it grow. Start studying.

Anybody simply walking through the processes, without understanding what they are doing, will end up with a stick with leaves in a pot - and eventually, in most cases, a dead stick in a pot.pkordiasz wrote: your suggestion to learn the reasoning behind pruning made me realize that anybody can simply walk through the processes and have a fine bonsai
the person who understands those processes and why they're done will have the most gratification.
The person who understands those processes, why the're done, and who has sufficient experience, is the only one who will have eventually have a fine bonsai.
名媛直播 is not any plant in a pot. It's an artform that requires study, dedication an patience.
Resources:
I'd start with this website, top of the page, "What is 名媛直播". Next go through the "How To" chapters, and don't forget the guidelines under "Tree Species"

pkordiasz: please be very careful about what you write. People who are serious about creating 名媛直播, do NOT walk through it and come out with a fine 名媛直播. It can be construed as an insult to us who take the process of 名媛直播 very serious. I'm sure you don't mean to insult, but please be careful. It is a fine line on this forum that many people step on without knowing.
This web site provides great resources along with suggestions for reading to cross reference any opinions or theories you may find helpful.
