Magnolias Indoors? was created by FicusCaricaLover

I was visiting my local home depot and I came across this beautiful ann magnolia, and I just had to ask the question if I could keep one indoors. As some may remember I do not have a lot of yard space so keeping one of these outdoors would be a near impossibility. If not can anyone recommend me some flowering trees/shrubs? thanks.

Almost all trees have to be kept outside, this is no exception. check the care guidelines of your tree and also what hardiness zone you are in.
If you want something that flowers indoors, I would recommend a pot plant.

If you want to kill it then keep it inside. If you want it to survive then you must keep it outside at all times. If you want a plant for in the house then choose one that is suitable. Many orchids will do well inside, and there are others. There are no species suitable for bonsai that will survive for long inside.

I don't see how a ficus tree will survive outdoors. I will kill one if I put it outdoors. Umbrella trees would also die outdoors, as well as jade trees. I can go on, but what I am trying to get here is that there are trees that are more suited for indoor climates.

Around here people ficus outside all summer long, however, frost will kill them, so they must come back in when it gets cold.

Which is what I mean. Where I live the weather is very inconsistent.

Same here - my ficuses (ficii?) live indoors all year as does my Fukien Tea, but the rest are outdoors

I don't know how much space you have, but you can place a lot of shohin on a small bench.
Maybe you have to adept a bit, small yard/ small trees, shohin, mame
Inconsistent weather/ native trees

Flowering species suitable for bonsai, shohin. Malus, cononeaster, berberis, prunus

thanks for the idea, one other problem that I have is the fact that I don't know how to display bonsai outdoors if I had the space. I want to make sure that my bonsai have a lot of attention. It's not like I don't have any space outside at all, but I just think it's too much work going in and out.

名媛直播 are always too much work!!

If I remember right, you have a few ledges in your brick work - perfect place to set some bonsai pots on. Cinderblocks and some boards; picnic tables, chimney liners with a large paver (stepping stone) on top - all suitable, decorative as you care for, and found at the hardware store. Make it your own style. It's really nothing more than a flat surface to place some trees, within access to sun & water.

As far as your indoor/outdoor tree concerns, acclimate them for the first few weeks by daytime/outside-nighttime/inside, until the weather turns more even. Then you should be able to leave them outdoors for the summer. Acclimate them to indoors in the same manner when weather starts cooling off again.
