On the first website that pops up (on .co.uk version) it recommends to repot into a bigger pot, but also removing the soil as well, wouldn't that just create more stress? A lot of the stuff i have just seen makes little sense as they contradict what they say, a lot (more than me )

This was not so much about the advice that is being given, but about the amount of hits I get...

I'd like to give it a try. Due to my incredible patience and always friendly attitude... you would need to review it before publishing though

I do not think it makes a diffrence. There are several articles on it already. I wrote one too a while back ( ). Although it is the second-most read post on my site, people just do not do research themselved, which is the main issue.

I've been looking through the results, and you will get hits for a page with a text like:
"Help me book my trip to Osaka. I'm dying to see the bonsai collection there" - so there will be lots of false hits.

Still... going through the list there are loads of real hits. I've heard the survival rate of bonsai from a known bonsai trader in the Netherlands is 30 percent... the results for trees from standard nurseries will be far worse.
