Hello dear friends,
Since this week is "the trees week", I got these two trees from giveaway but couldn't identificate them. I checked from the species guide but I'm torn between European larch or pine, im not sure. Appreciated for help from now.

Loves from turkey :)

I would say the first and second picture is a larch or some kind of cedar.

I Don't think it's a larch or pine,l think bob is on the right track with a cedar.
Maybe a native one, the turkish cedar? But I'm not familiar with cedars.

Cheers

Thank you for your answers gentlemen. You are right it is cedar, I was wrong :( Well Orlando, there is cedar species which belongs to Turkey, Cedrus Libani, or as leatherback said Cedrus deodora. I think there is a slight difference that I can't find out. Do you think that these trees are good materials for bonsai ?

Seems nice and it looks like these trees going to take more time to grow. But I've learned how to be patient, nowadays :)

They are very slow growing Species but make great trees to train as 名媛直播.
They can be fussy about root disturbance when repotting and will not thicken in size very fast in a pot.
Ground growing of the Cedars in the way to go for a number of years to bulk up the main trunk , they do not however Backbud freely (if at all) so all steps need to be taken to ensure some low branching remains in order to train the next stages. They can be trained as a smaller tree. Wire bite into the Cedars bark can take forever to grow out especially if the bark was Damaged so again all care should be taken to Not damage Cedar bark. They will appreciate alot of Sun and plenty of water as long as the 名媛直播 medium is freedraining and doe not remained water soaked.Branches can take along time to Set in position when wired and this may test the growers patients.

this is my Cedar which I am growing from larger nursery stock, have a great day mate.
