If you are keeping it where you took the picture then there is the cause. It is hardy and should be outside. It will not survive long indoors. The soil looks dry, how and when do you water? Watering is most important. Check every day with a chopstick, if it comes out clean water if is not clean then leave.

Boxwood can tolerate some frost, but indeed, if you have long-term way sub-zero, it needs protection. However.. It is NOT supposed to spent the winter in a dry hot environment of a heated room. Look for a place where temps hover around freezing most of the time, and where the tree gets light.

Sorry, but I?m not so sure about it. Harry H. recommends to provide additional protection on Buxus when temperatures fall bellow -5?C and I quote:

"POSITION: Partial Sun/ Light shade. Excessive sunlight can result in sun-scorched leaves. Both species are hardy to less than -4°C but frosts and cold winds can discolour top growth. Give additional protection to trees when temperatures drop below -5°C

Box is regarded by some as suitable for indoor cultivation during the Winter and should be placed in an unheated room with good light. Ensure good air-circulation around the tree to avoid fungal diseases."

So, being your daily temperatures below -10?C as you said before, perhaps your tree would be better placed indoors in front of a window facing north with lots of light... At least while temperatures remain that low. Maybe exactly the way LB previously stated:

No matter which decision you take.. You CANNOT move the plant outdoors into the -10 from the place where it is now. That will certainly kil it. Plants need time to adjust their metabolism & chemical composition in order to survive low temperatures, which takes a few weeks of colling/warming cycles, with ever colder temperatures.
