Can anyone ID this please and there thoughts on it as bonsai material. I seen it in my Grans shared yard and liked the trunk.

Hard to tell from the photographs. Since the leaves seem to be serrated, the bark is dark and wrinkled and that the foliage has changed its color I?m leaning to believe it?s an elm (Ulmus) or maybe a Zelkova, I'm not 100% sure though. It would be nice a closer picture of the leaves and the branches anyways.

Hi, thanks for opinion-I think it looks like it could be a bay after googling photos. Can I ask why you don't think it looks healthy?
I mind when my neighbour got the plant, it had not a stitch of foliage and she did really well to bring it back.

IMHO not a good choice for 名媛直播 - unless when you mean 'Garden' bonsai (which is not the type of bonsai discussed on this site, normally)
