hey all ! ive just bought this beautiful tree, i was wondering what species it is. im new at this but ive been always fascinated by this art ! so any advice is also welcomed ! peace and love

It is a bit of a mess at the moment, could be ash, or wisteria. What country are you in?

looks like a chinese pepper (zanthoxylum) to me, have one to. i would keep it outdoors during spring and summer and indoors during autumn and winter, but i've had mine only for 3 months or so so i don't speak a lot experience. i think 10-15 degrees C is the minimum temperature.

Yes, it is a chinese pepper. I still remember a post from you, Jan Mcmahon, trying to identify this tree. It was yours right? I won?t forget those dark shiny green leaves. Beautiful!

i would say it is a japan pepper not much different from a chinese pepper.
