Hello, I'm new here and new to bonsais. I have a Chinese Privet that developed white spots on the bottom of the leaves. I'm wondering what it is , I cannot seem to find any answers searching online. Any help is appreciated.

There are no lumps on the leaf it's just discolored. The white spots can only be seen from the bottom.

Are they not perhaps insect eggs that have hatched already and that is what is left?

Try using a fungicide / insecticide / miticide spray of some sort. Will usually sort that kind of thing out.
