My husband bought me a little 名媛直播 Pine and I love it. But no matter how much I water, it is dry and brittle. Is this normal for pines in the winter? I know it needs to be transplanted and as soon as I have a new pot I'll do that, but I'm concerned that it may be dead...

Hm, doesn't sound good. Pine trees (when healthy) don't brittle..
Do you have an image of it? Can you explain more about how you take care of it and where you placed it?

conifers (pines) need to be outside for the winter so most likely it is dead so i am sorry.
you seem to be another victim of the mallsia vendors . i was hooked in too, many years ago i had my happy little juniper in the window and stared at it every day and after a few months no matter what i did it kept loosing needles untill it was a goner

I was afraid of that. It was kind of brittle when I got it and it was losing needles. My husband got it for me in California and brought it home for me. I've been watering it and gave it the fertilizer that came with the instructions, but I think it was a goner even then.

Yes it is. It's in Seattle. I don't know if there are more of them. Was kind of disgusting as well as being incredibly cool! LOL

Definately dead. For future: Get the correct name. This is not a pine, but a juniper. Different beast => Different treatment.
