New growth? was created by ChineseElm

As a few of you know, I recently purchased a Chinese elm bonsai (or mallsai) two weeks ago. Just yesterday, I picked up my tree and noticed that there was a lot of new growth. I don't know whether it's a sign of overwatering, or if it's actually new growth.

No, because the leaves look yellow, so I don't know if it's new growth or overwatering.

young growth is quite bright.

Where do you keep those? Weather permitting, outside would be good.

New growth is never a bad thing.

Indoors in living room conditions is allways a bad thing.

Hey, sorry to invade your topic!

But in the same Chinese Elm vibe I wanted to ask, are they resistant to summer heatwaves? I tried to find when would be too hot for them to bear, but didn't find it... I'm guessing that it wouldn't be a problem.

Plus, would be a pencil thick cutting hard to root on spring/summer? (using rooting hormone)

No idea Albas. I think (But not sure) they are heat resistant because I live in Arizona, US, where it gets to a scorching 120? F (49? C).

Also, I've never taken a cutting off of Chinese elm. Hopefully, someone can help you.

My Chinese Elm seems to grow better inside under lights than outdoors for some reason, maybe it likes the controlled enviroment.
