Produce it yourself? Thats quite tricky; why not buy feed at a local store?

I would agree... unless you have a chemistry degree and access to the compounds needed and a lab

We don't get quality bonsai feed locally. The organic fertiliser in the regular fertiliser shop seems to have a specific composition. I feel the composition is static which results in slow reponse to my bonsais. My trees are not flowering. I have a 11 yaer old gul mohar , but it has not been flowering at all despite being quiet healthy. This is the case with certain other bonsais like Tamarind, Neem and Peepul trees of same age group. I feel the NPK component in the feed is not supporting the flowering process.
Hence the request.

I see. No experience with this so I can't help you. Or perhaps order it online?

Howdy Vijay,
you need more "P" ... if you don't already know the N is for Nirogen, the P is for phosphates(P2O5) and the K is for potash(K2O)
nitrogen is for leaf development, the phosphates are for flower development and the potash is for roots.
i have used indoor plant food before with the same results as bonsai fert.
I use a 5,5,5, slow release every 6 mnths and a liquid 10,7,10 once a month if i want heavier growth.I am wondering when you do pruning, I have a Lilac bush that didn't flower for years because i would shape it throughout the growing season.I only prunned it after the few flowers in spring and left it,the next spring it was covered in flowers...just an idea

Thanks for the tip. I keep pruning the tress when it is vigorously send out new sprouts. I do this to maintain shape and to encourage new branches. Guess I'm not giving enough lead time for the buds to come out. Will follow your way this season. My Gul Mohar is just about ready with new sprouts and the tree sends out flowers around this time. Hope she'll bear some flowers this year. Thaks again.

If you still want to produce fertilizer at home, dried chicken manure works. So if you're willing to go through the trouble of raising chickens, you won't have to buy a specialized bonsai mixture.
