Hello guys

so I am a newbie in the bonsai scene. I have a few outdoor and indoor mallsai and want to improve them.

So I made a list of to do's. Please be so kind to tell me where i am wrong or incomplete. Thanks in advance!

名媛直播 collection dec 2020
Outdoor:
1. Acer palmatum deshojo (female)
- Repot in spring – remove 1/3 of roots
- Wire in spring (carefully)
- Pruning in autumn after fall leaves or in mid summer
- Do not remove leaves!
- Fertiliser monthly in growing season

2. Ulmus parvifolia x 2 (male)
- Prune and repot in spring
- Allow shoots to extend 3 or 4 nodes then prune back to 1 or 2 leaves as required.
- Wire in mid summer
- Go for broom form
- Fertiliser monthly in growing season

3. Metasequoia (female)
- Repot in spring
- Protect against sun in summer

4. Pinus sylvestris (yamadori, male)
- Repot asap

5. Bougainvillea glabra (yamadori, female) – or maybe lagestroemia???? (is old yamadori)
- Prune and repot in late spring (40% organic, 60% Ibuki leaves soil)
- Fertiliser monthly in growing season
-

6. Pinus parvifolia arakawa (on the way)

- Kajiwara Method for Japanese White Pine development: no full scale candle pinching in spring or summer and allows free vegetative growth.
- around November you prune off strong, unwanted new shoots to allow the weaker shoots further back on the branch to develop. This is the finer “名媛直播 Growth” you are trying to encourage in this methodology. The provisos being that you don’t do heavy pruning on a branch that you wish to lengthen and thicken or remove all the foliage from any one branch.
- You then balance development of the tree by pulling more needles from stronger areas and less from the weaker areas that need to be strengthened, leaving the buds(at the base of the needles) intact.

7. Cedrus deodora:

- Take off the branches that grow on the bottom half of the young tree.
- Cut the central leader down to the level of the highest side branch.
- Prune off the branches along the trunk to thin out ones that grow directly opposite other branches, forming a type of stair-step effect along the trunk.
- Leave about two-thirds of the remaining branches on a single side of the tree, rather than distributing them evenly throughout all sides.
- Cut a length of flexible, sturdy wire that measures about twice the height of your cedar tree. Poke one end deep into the soil near the base of the tree. Gently wrap the wire around the trunk of the cedar. Twist the wire into a spiral shape, forming it into a slight angle that pulls the top of the cedar towards the side with the most branches. Leave this wire in place for at least the first year of growth.
- Om de 4 jaar verpotten in april
- Pinch back new shoots throughout the growing season. Hard prune in Autumn to avoid bleeding.

8. Citrus latifolia (Bearss Lime tree)
- Prune in spring (leave minimal two leaves per branch)

9. Pinus Thunbergii

Indoor:
1. Ficus microcarpa (male)
Prune and repot in late spring

2. Crasulla ovate (old Jade tree, female)
- Prune and repot in late spring
- New growth should be continually pinched out to encourage stronger lower growth and to reduce leaf-size. Jades readily make new growth from wounds and individual leaves can be removed to quickly produce new branches.
- Never seal pruning wounds; Leave pruning wounds open and allow to dry naturally.
- Jades respond very well to trunk reduction techniques, producing new growth from the wound area within 1-2 weeks.

Material:
1. turntable
2. Sharp sizzors
3. 名媛直播 anodised training draden 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm (on the way from china)
4. 名媛直播 Ibuki soil mix leaves (on the way from poland)
5. 名媛直播 Ibuki soil mix pines (on the way from poland)
6. Vaseline (wound paste)
7. Chop stick (to measure humidity)
8. Activated charcoal

9. Stekpoeder (te kopen => gamma of aveve)
10. Bolle tang (te kopen => gamma)

Without pictures it is quite impossible to say anything.
En je weet dat er ook een Nederlandstalig forum is? (bonsaiempire.nl)

I'm a bit confused; maybe they meant the style (masculine and feminine)

?

Not thought of that! If that is the case, you can ignore my comment.

There are no reasons to do anything with that jade. Just let it grow. Crassulas abort foliage naturally and build its mass of water. If you feel like it you can help it on the way by cutting much later. Years from now.

In my opinion crassulas make the best bonsais grown quite big with just very litte trimming.

Ill and a picture of a jade tree some 20 years old grown by a farmer that has no interest in bonsai whatsoever. Newer been pruned, newer been repotted. Outside all summer and inside in winter. This is a Hobbit form. Excuse the mess, not my place, not my tree.

Also a naturally grown jade that I found on a vaccation trip:

I dont Think that it has ever been prunned. In order to look more as a bonsai it would need some thinning. But I Think that the overall structure is there.
