This might sound stupid but I accidentally just bought some willow root stock. I put it in my amazon cart as a reminder to research it, but then bought some other stuff and well... it’s coming. I have no idea what to do with this... any help is appreciated thanks in advance

Here you go sir, they offered instructions to place in soil for a few weeks and to keep the soil very moist. To water each day. They have been in soil for about 4-5 days

Ok great! I’m going to keep them in these pots for about a month then put them in pots. Does that sound like a solid plan?

I see no reason why they shouldn’t stay where they are even for much longer (the initial development stage at least), unless they’re root bound already...

Yes leave them where they are, don't keep disturbing them let them get established. You have a long way to go before a final pot.

Thank you guys! They are for sure not root bound as they didn’t have any a week ago lol!
I know it’s Aug, but do you think I should leave them in these planters pots until spring? What about bringing them indoors for the winter? I’m in northern Virginia, so the winters aren’t two harsh (normally)

Leave them there until next spring, and maybe even longer if the branches aren't developing right.
You will probably want a little winter protection, but it would probably do fine just to put them on the ground out of the wind. After the leaves come out in spring you should watch for cold snaps.
