Btw are you really sure it’s an ficus? I’m thinking to getting a cat and from my research ficus is poison for cats

It's poisonous for cats, so I suggest you don't mix the sap through your cats food.
Actually, most indoor plants with foliage are more or less poisonous. Still, while I know lots of people with cats and houseplants, I do not see cats dying from these houseplants.
Cats know what not to eat. They may bite a leaf, they won't like it, may barf, but they won't die from it.
(this is not an advice... please do your research to confirm - or deny - the above).

And we do a lot of cat-sitting. The cats only jump at elephants'foot. The rest they leave alone. And yes. Every once in a while the cats eat too much of the plant and throw up. Then leave the plant alone for a long time.
They are well and all alive, and agreeing with leatherback they taste the new ones, throw up and leave them alone.
