Back Budding A Juniper (my first bonsai)

I have watched some videos on back budding but none specific to my bonsai juniper species. I bought it from Lowes and there was no name for this particular plant, just bonsai. That being said, can I develop pads on this thing by back budding? And how would I go about doing that?
Posting three pictures here, two with me pointing to where I think it should be considered once it matures along. One of the pictures I am pointing to the top elbow. I am considering letting it grow up as an apex and form a canopy “pad.” Is that possible? Also, it was said in a deciduous bonsai to cut back to the woody part to accomplish back budding. Is it the same concept for a juniper?
I have also done some of my own pruning because it looked like a bush of course. Hope I did not mess things up.
Thanks!

I am under the impression that you misunderstand the meaning of backbudding. What you have there is a young plant ( far from being a bonsai yet) with buds all over. Where would you want more buds, or even back to where?
Backbudding means when foliage is too far from the position you want it, you create the right circumstances to have backbudding closer to where you want it thus forming foliage where you want it.
Your very young plant needs years of growing first.
And btw- if you leave it there where the picture was taken it will die, without a doubt...

Thank you. So developing pads, is that the proper term, and is it possible with this juniper? would have to be done much later. How long does this usually take and do I let it simply grow out without pruning? I'm sure I'll have more questions. Very new to this, but I gather it takes many years.
Thanks again

An important lesson: if you have to ask you are not ready to do what you are asking.
So: first of all learn to keep your plant alive, which in 95% of the cases i see here will already be a major problem. Second : again, and this is REALLY IMPORTANT for keeping it alive: PLACE IT OUTSIDE!!!!! ( unless its freezing like hell now, then you wait till spring). Get rid of the little pebbles.
While you try to keep it alive, take the time to study/learn as much as possible about bonsai so you have at least an idea what and where you want your plant to be in X number of years. ( i think your juniper is max 5 years, it will take at least 10 years of proper care or more to become something remotely bonsai-ish...)
Another lesson: bonsai is a marathon, not a sprint.
