But he is working on a stock of trees that has been in his cultivation for 20-40 years. Most beginners do not have that kind of materials. If you just understand your trees current stage of development and adapt your actions acordingly, he has some useful information.
For TS there may be a big climate difference from Peter Chan. That makes a difference as well for timing. That is why I tend to recomend to connect to other bonsai creators in your own area. Internet forums and youtube is just a compliment.

Sorry about the typo. Since I thought I typed "Maple" instead of "Male," Grammarly probably changed my post.BillMcEnaney wrote: My personal care assistant says the Red Dragon Maple is growing well now that it lives in his yard. But two people at? ?compared transport shock to an anxiety attack. Naturally, I know a tree can't feel pain, let alone think. Still, Peter Chen worried me where he lopped a thick limb off a tree. How can I help a shocked tree recover? Should I leave it alone except when watering it? Something must have stressed the Male when it lived here because it's fine at Phil's home.

I hesitate to style nursery stock with too much foliage on it since I wouldn't know what to prune away. Starting with a three or four-limbed tree would be great because I could bend the limbs with little or no snipping.
