We also know they are not bonsai.
I have the three species.
The Crassula Ovata as an accent plant could work .
The Adenium, for the flowers. It's a nice house plant.

Because it can actually be done?

With the proper knowledge and care that is, of course. Also, because being succulents, their needs are not so taxing, as most of the rest of the trees we might have.

Yes, I guess so, but...
I'm still not convinced
And...
I am almost sure these examples above are Crassula Ovata and not Jade.

I’ve been reading up a a lot on this to understand myself. So the question is why is the a hesitation to accept this as a bonsai.
Again, don’t mean to start a heated debate but to learn.

Leroy, perhaps it's a regional thing, but here one is called Jade (bigger leaves) and the other Crassula or "mini-jade" (small rounded leaves.)
See the difference on the pictures below; on the first picture, the one in the foreground and the one to the left are Crassulas; the other in the background is Jade.

WOW!!!!
It's always great to have experts to solve these confusions!
Thank you, Felidae, I will call the small one Portucalária Afra from now on, and Jade the big one. Thanks!

The Adenium is flowering again. After this blooming, I will cut it down to start some lower ramifications, I will let you know if it works.
:woohoo:
