Good day everyone

I'm new to this forum so I will briefly introduce myself.
My passion for sculpting and ceramics brought me here.
This summer I met a friend from the UK who has a passion for 名媛直播.
Seen my passion for ceramics and Raku, he witnessed a raku fire.
We discussed the relation of 名媛直播 and Raku (mainly its philosophy) and so on.

Back home I studied more about Raku and 名媛直播 and decided to give it a go.
I made a dozen Raku fired 名媛直播 pots (hand-made of course, all unique).

Selling is one thing, improving and developing another.
Anyway, if you're interested in the result, go to this webpage

As I mentioned, I'm just as much interested in your opinion, tips or anything else as I am in selling.

Best regards
Kris Dekeijzer

That is a beautiful pot! I went to the website and tried to email the contact address but it was returned. What is the price and shipping?

Thanks a lot! I'm very happy with your compliment.
You know, I made this pot today :-)
(As you may have read, I discovered the idea only a few weeks ago, a 名媛直播 lover from the UK inspired me.

But the details, I've just added them on the site. There's 4 or 5 rectangular s.
What concerns the shipping, never done that before, I'll have to inform about prices and solid packaging.

Where are you from?

My only comment is there appears to be only one hole. Impossible to tell how big the pot is from the picture, but it looks a nice pot.

Exactly, there is only one hole. This one measures 17 cm by 11 cm by 4 cm.
I've mentioned all dimensions of all pots on the site

That is not enough, and there are not holes to use for wiring into the pot. I would want two holes plus 4 for the wire, even though it is a small pot.

Ok. Thanks for you comment/tip.
I'll see what I can do with a small stone drill. The inside is not glazed so that shouldn't be a problem, but for sure, I'll keep this in mind for the future.

Excellent idea; I have been to some raku fires myself, as my mom used to potter in pottery a little, some decades ago ;). Recently I have been giving raku some thought myself, doing a little course here and there and joining a raku fire to make some pots myself.

I think there would be a good market foor good quality raku-fired bonsai pots, if prooven to be fully frost resistent.

The holes issue you will have to study a little more. Talk to your friend, and maybe look at some bonsai pots. The holes you show are too small (The smallest are for the wires, and might be ok). The bigger holes really need to be counter-intuitively large. When potting bonsai, a coarse soil mixture is used, which allows for very fast draining. This should in no way result in the holes clogging up if some of the fertiliser used drains to the bottom of the pot. In order to keep the coarse substrate in the pot, little pieces of plastic mesh are used. These measure about 5*5 cm in most stores. So a hole of say 4cm across would not be considered silly.

Yes I agree the holes look too small, one other point, I noticed you said the inside is not glazed. Whatever you do don't glaze the inside. I expect you know that but it is important
